Do You Enjoy Your Life?

Start enjoying your life.

Happiness is a choice.

This post said it all! 🙂

Happy Sunday! I want to share a small post with you today about You. You were born to do great things in your life and do what you want to do. Most people just go thru the motions each day; they wake up to a clock and don’t eat properly before rushing out the door, then they set in some traffic to get to a job they really don’t like. They barely make it the eight or nine hours then go home and eat and then watch TV and then repeat. Their weekends are time for having a little fun, drinking a few drinks and maybe grilling out and then more TV. Then it is Monday! Does this seem about right? This is not what you were born to do! It starts with getting up. What you do every day is what makes the difference from living the life I…

“Invictus” Vs. “Oh Captain, My Captain”

Invictus“, by William Ernest Henley and “Oh Captain!, My Captain!“, by Walt Whitman. These poetic pieces were presented during a declamation contest in celebration of the English Month in our school.
I presented “Oh Captain! My Captain!” with all the drama it contains, I even added gestures to make it more realistic. On the other hand, “Invictus”, was presented by another contestant, a friend of mine. She did a very good job delivering the said piece.
She won the contest with the “Invictus” piece and I end up at first place tied with another contestant. I’m proud to say that even though I didn’t win the contest, at least I experienced to be in it.
I will never forget these lines in “Invictus”:
“I am the master of my fate.”
“I am the captain of my soul.”

Truth and Reality

A great inspiration!
This quote from the famous Mahatma Gandhi speaks of truth to its highest form.
In the first sentence, it involves the truth about you, the truth you know and speak, and the people around. You, of all people, knows who you really are deep down inside your mind and heart. No one except God can judge you, for no one else knows what runs in your mind and heart, unless you speak of it. When you choose to speak of that truth about yourself and any truth that you know, many people will always have something to say about it. Some will believe you, while others will not and even contradict what you have said. Today, the sad reality is that people will not just contradict you but judge you in your face and behind your back with other people who don’t know who you really are. Those people will get the wrong impression of the truth about you which is the worst case possible.
In the second sentence, Gandhi states that you should never apologize, that is absolutely correct. You never have to be sorry for showing and speaking what is true and correct. In fact, those people who have contradicted and judged the truth you speak of, are the ones who have to apologize for what they did. Maybe, they can escape from their wrong doings in the eyes of fellow-men but never in the eyes of God.
In the last sentence, Gandhi encourages you to be brave enough to speak what you know is right and true. Whatever your status in life, you should fight for the truth.
“The truth will set you free.”
“The truth will always prevail.”

A Start of a New Week

Some people begin their week with Sundays while some with Mondays.

No matter what day we start the week, it is up to us on how we start it.

Having good vibes is a must. We must start fresh, let go of the unnecessary things that occur in the past. If we dwell too much in our past, it may become an hindrance in starting anew at the present.

Let us be inspired to be better bloggers.

Have a nice week ahead fellow bloggers! 🙂

About Friendship

A friend is someone who you can rely on other than family. Mostly, during the happiest times of your life, and some at your dull and weakest moments.

There are friends, good friends, great friends,  and true friends. All of them do exists, as the saying goes, “No man is an island”, as well as “Man does not live by bread alone”. Therefore, a person always has someone whom they call “friend”.

However, the word “friend” differs according to the person’s perspective. Just like any other word, it can have different adjectives. Good friends are the ones who are good if you’ve shown them goodness, in other words they will do you the same favor. Great friends are the ones who know how to share you’re greatness into certain things for they have experienced the same.

True friends are the ones who will remain true to you, be honest with you of all the truth you deserve even if it will hurt you at the beginning. They are the ones who you can trust with your secrets without having seconds thoughts of being publicized or vulgarized. The ones who you can cry on and laugh with when you feel like doing so.

Lucky are the people who have these kind of friends. They can never feel alone in this world full of strangers.

Sadly, if there are true friends, the exact opposite also exists, they are called “fake friends”. They are the ones who wear different masks. They wear a mask with a smile, even though deep inside, they frown. They say good things in front of you, but if they talk to someone else, bad things came out of their mouth, and they will tell stories about you which are not even their own business.

It’s hard to identify “fake friends”, for they have a mastery of disguising using different masks. You must be aware when you met one. The lesson you should learn is to choose wisely who you can trust, sometimes “fake friends” are masked as “true friends”.

I am lucky to have these kind of friends, good, great and true.

Just a tip, in having friends, number is not a concern. It’s alright to say “I have few friends, but I know they are true”.

I’m ending this post through a question, which kind of friends do you have? Feel free to comment your answer below.

A Love Story

Friday Fictioneers “Every Friday authors from around the world gather here to share their 100-words and offer constructive crit and encouragement to each other.”

That same day, Damon and Elena looked up in the skies in the balcony to see the sun still shining above them.

Damon told Elena, “Every time I see the sun, I remember your smile, just like how it brightens my day.”

Elena simply smiled and said, “No matter what happens, even though destiny will not allow us to be together, I would still make a way for you.”

“I will hold on to your words and I will make sure to see you smile everyday,” Damon said.

Out of words, Damon hugged Elena and kissed her on the forehead.

The Need to Write

I felt the need to write about something yet I don’t know what is it.

Maybe because many things are running in my mind, and I’m a bit confused on what would inspire me to write about a specific topic.

The thing that kept recurring in my mind is food, I don’t know why, I’m not hungry. Actually I have just eaten with my officemates in a fast food chain.

Right now I’m still thinking on what to write,  with some sense. I don’t want to think that I’m running out  of words to say.

If you have some suggestions please do tell me, I’ll be very glad to tackle your suggestions.  Please do comment below your desired topic,  and I’ll try my very best to write about it.

Thank you!
