Books than Boys

Books are knight in shining armors for a damsel in distress
Books will never leave. Books may fade but the story behind it remains in the heart and mind. Books will never hurt you physically.  Books will never fail expectations.  Books are everywhere. Books will never lie. Books will make us cry, laugh and smile.
Unlike boys, we can love books without any fear to be betrayed, left behind, and fallen apart.

Time flies so fast.

In less than two weeks, the month of March is kicking in. Many things to look forward, everyday is a day full of surprises, not knowing what lies ahead.

We live because we have too, fight and survive at the same time.

We love because we are human and as a creature capable of loving. We get hurt, cry and move on. It’s who we are.

Many people around us are unaware what we are capable of doing, some of them only sees what is visible to the naked eye.

Only a few, knows what we are deep inside. For me, I call them family. And some friends, I might say.

But a warning, not all of them deserves to know who you really are. In our world today, we can’t trust everybody. Just like us, they are also human capable of sin.

Sins like bearing false witness against their neighbor,  telling lies. And also, faking and breaking promises.

It is wise to say, that we should only trust ourselves for we know what we are capable of doing.

But some things maybe considered to be shared, happy moments and sad ones but to those who we trust a lot.

I’m the kind of person who gives my trust to those I see and feel that are worth of it, but if that trust is broken, it can never go back just like a broken glass.

There are things around us that are hard to explain, some contradict the other according to our own belief. But to be a better person, we must know, feel and act.

To cry is human, we have to pour out our emotions if we have to. We all have our weaknesses. However, weaknesses can be turned to strengths if we can make it through tough situations.

“Survival of the fittest.”

I have heard these words before, but I believe not only the fittest will survive,  but also those who are brave, wise, and loveable.

Also, we must not underestimate the weak, the weak has greater chance to survive. They even manage to make it through each passing day without relying on others but themselves.

Let us be reminded, that we are just human. From dust we begun, and we will end in dust.

Instead of looking back at the past, it is much better of we learn from it. If we think about the future and the uncertainties it brings we might overlook the present and the happy moments.

To sum it all up, forget the past but not its lessons, today is a gift that’s why it is called present, and future is a mystery.

“Live and love more. Expect and worry less.”

Alone on Valentine’s Day

Who said Valentine’s day is just for lovers?

Its Valentine’s day. And my day is going good, the way I want it to be, the fact that I’m alone.

Just like a normal day, had breakfast and take a bath afterwards.  Went to the eye center for a check-up, luckily my eye vision maintained its grade, so I’m wearing my glasses now.

After that, had a little walk in the mall before and after lunchtime.

So far, the highlight of my day I watching “Fifty Shades of Grey”, it really went well, I mean the movie is good, the feeling stays the same when I was reading the book.

Nevermind the blurred scenes due to nudity. I shall look forward for the sequel “Fifty Shades Darker.”

I have time to blog, I miss it and all of you.

Laters baby.

A Day Before Valentine’s Day

Bouquet of flowers, chocolates and gifts, these are the common things we see and often receive during Valentine’s Day.

Today is the day before the most awaited celebration, especially for lovers, couples and even singles (just like me). The question lingering in my mind right now, what does people do a day before Valentine’s day?

Maybe, boys rush to flower shops to place orders for a bouquet of flowers and girls go to shopping malls to buy their dress for them to wear on a date and gifts for their special someone. I guess that’s what lovers do.

For couples, a reservation for a dinner in a fine dining restaurant or a hotel. Intimacy is the word for it.

Well, for singles like me, nothing much special, just like a normal day in my life. Working, blogging, and doing other routinely activities.

In any way how we celebrate Valentine’s Day, let us be reminded that it’s not about expensive gifts and places, but it’s the thought, time, and effort we exerted to let those people dear to us feel special and happy.

“Remember God’s love is the greatest love of all.”

“Valentine’s Day, is not a one day celebration, ‘coz if we know how to love, everyday is Valentine’s Day.”

A Love Story

Friday Fictioneers “Every Friday authors from around the world gather here to share their 100-words and offer constructive crit and encouragement to each other.”

That same day, Damon and Elena looked up in the skies in the balcony to see the sun still shining above them.

Damon told Elena, “Every time I see the sun, I remember your smile, just like how it brightens my day.”

Elena simply smiled and said, “No matter what happens, even though destiny will not allow us to be together, I would still make a way for you.”

“I will hold on to your words and I will make sure to see you smile everyday,” Damon said.

Out of words, Damon hugged Elena and kissed her on the forehead.
